Nigerian National Week 17 clash between Vandrezzer FC and Rovers FC earlier rescheduled for Saturday June 26, 2021, has been postponed till Thursday July 1, 2021.
According to a release from the Nigerian National League made available to all clubs, the decision is in order to accommodate this week’s AITEO Cup matches:
“This is to inform you that due to AITEO Cup fixtures released by the Nigeria Football Federation,
it has become necessary to reschedule some matches involving NNL clubsides that are participating in the the AITEO Cup competition…”
Rovers FC are listed to compete in the AITEO cup this weekend hence, would only be available to travel for the VFC game next week.
This would be the second time the VFC/Rovers game has been rescheduled after it was first moved from June 2, 2021, following travel issues encountered by teams in the Eastern part of the country prior to that weekend.
