Confederation of African Football has officially rescheduled the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026, moving the tournament from its initial March–April window to July–August 2026. The continental women’s championship will now take place in Morocco from July 25 to August 16.

CAF confirmed that the decision followed consultations with FIFA, commercial partners and other key stakeholders. The adjustment was made to address certain unforeseen circumstances while ensuring the successful delivery of Africa’s premier women’s football tournament.

Morocco was awarded the hosting rights for the competition in October 2024, reinforcing the country’s growing reputation as a major destination for international football events on the continent.

CAF noted that preparations for the tournament are already underway, expressing confidence that the rescheduled event will deliver a successful and memorable edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
