What William Troost-Ekong’s addition could mean for Watford

If there is anything Watford needs to fix to improve as a club, it is surely their defensive brick. This has resulted into the club to have finally landed one of the great walls of Nigerian defense, William Troost Ekong.

With gleeful spirit, Watford announced the signing of Ekong on 29th September 2020 from Udinese after appearing 66 times with them, and penning a five year deal contract with Watford.

The 27 year old would look to break into Ivcic’s team and bolster their defence line with his professional experiences and dogged qualities he professed.

His addition to the squad would be of apparent significance as Watford as a club is known to have conceded a total goals of 441 goals managing only 58 clean sheets in all competitions.

Watford is currently at English Football League division having been relegated from English Premier League in the 2019/20 season. They are currently 5th in the league which means they could find their way back to the main league if they could utilize their major signings this summer.
