Residents of Keke, ,Lakisan, sokobi ,Jenriyin and other communities in Egbeda Local govt area of Oyo state want the state government to rescue them from rain storm that destroyed property in the areas.
Some residents, Mr. Olumuyiwa Gabriel and Deaconess Ambimbola Olatunji who spoke with radio Nigeria said the rain which lasted for thirty five minutes had removed the roofs of many residents in the area while some buildings were submerged by the flood.
The Central Chairman, Ifelajulo landland/landladies Association, olodo Bank Area,Ibadan,Elder Kayode Odedele explained that many of the residents of the communities had been rendered homeless.
Also speaking ,the chairman,Lakisan community zone A olodo bank Pastor Olawale Sogeke stressed the need for both the state and local governments to assist and provide succur to the affected people.
Pastor Sogeke said about eighteen eighteen electricity poles, transformers and other electrical appliances were destroyed during the heavy rain.
