Ahmed Musa, captain of Nigeria’s national football team and a passionate supporter of grassroots sports development, has donated ₦500,000 each to the players of Kano Pillars U-19 and Mighty Jets of Jos. The Super Eagles skipper announced the gesture after Kano Pillars’ U-19 thrilling 3-2 victory over Mighty Jets in the inaugural Under-19 Youth League match at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

Speaking on the motivation behind his donation, Musa said, “These young players are the future of Nigerian football. It’s vital to encourage them to stay dedicated and motivated as they progress in their careers.”

The electrifying encounter, which took place on Tuesday, showcased the immense talent of both teams and underscored the importance of the Under-19 Youth League as a platform for discovering Nigeria’s next football stars.
