Gateway United FC have appointed Akeem Adaranijo, chief coach of Ogun State sports council as a caretaker coach until the end of the 2018/2019 NNL season and will be assisted by a yet to be named technical consultant.
According to the media officer Moses Ojewumi, the management of the team have accepted the resignation letter of former coach Akeem Busari and Akeem Adaranijo who was part of the technical crew during 2017/2018 NNL season was found suitable to be in the dug-out for the remainder of the season.
Gateway United FC who are placed fifth in group B3 with two points are yet to secure a win in the current campaign.
With back to back losses to Nnewi United at home and Rovers FC in Calabar, the task for Adaranijo is to get the team back to winning ways and ensure their survival in the NNL.
Gateway United are next in action against Rovers FC on May 25th in Abeokuta.
