Some members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Oyo State chapter have paid a condolence visit to the family of a Patron of the Association, late Chief Isaac Preboye at his Preboye’s world residence, Ibadan.
Condoling with the wife of the late chief Preboye, Mrs. Olayinka Preboye, Chairman, SWAN, Oyo State chapter, Olaolu Fawole described the death of the Patron as shocking.
Fawole, who said he had a phone conversation with late chief Preboye two days before his death, stated that the late Patron did not feel indisposed throughout the conversation.
The Oyo State SWAN chairman pointed out that Chief Preboye’s works to the promotion of Sports, which earned him the patronal award of the Association would live forever.
Fawole assured Mrs Preboye that SWAN would play active roles during the funeral rites of late Preboye.
Responding, Mrs. Preboye remarked that her late husband would be greatly missed for his care, humility and passion for sports
The late Chief Isaac Preboye, seventy years, died on the third of this month.
