The Head Coach of Crown Football Club,Ogbomoso, Oladunni Oyekale has reiterated that inspite topping the Group B4 log table in the Nigeria National League(NNL) in the Southern Conference, his lads will keep pushing stronger and better till the very fruitful end.
The Ajilete Warriors top the Group B4 log table with seven (7) points from four (4) games closely followed by Ibom Youths FC, Lamray United FC and Warri Wolves with six points (6) each having played four (4) matches too while Word Of Life FC is at the bottom with four (4) points from the same number of games.
” The team performed well in the first stanza of the league; won two (2) home games, had an away draw and lost an away game. The team will come out completely better and more stronger to complement their earlier performances towards ensuring we pick the soul ticket in the group”, Oyekale said.
The Former National Player and Coach described his team loss to Ibom Youths FC in Uyo as disappointing but believed the lessons learnt in that match will help the team in subsequent matches.
” We were in Uyo for nothing less than a win and not even a draw. My boys fought hard but football is funny and unpredictable. Too hard to believe that we lost the game but the beauty of it is that we are leading the group and we will work assiduously to maintain that lead to the very end,” Oladunni submitted.
He appreciated other members of the technical crew for the united house and applauded his boys for the impressive outing so far.
He concluded by thanking the management team headed by Mr Rollanson Odeh for the supports and understanding but like Oliver Twist, he urged them to improve on their welfare packages.
“I Sincerely appreciate the selfless efforts of the management at ensuring we don’t lose concentration on the tasking responsibilities ahead of us. Most times they had to dissatisfy themselves to make us happy. And this can only happen when you have round peg in a round hole. Not someone who is always after his own pocket. Though, ain’t surprised because he is a well travelled coach and even some members of his team were footballers. I thanked them and I’m still pleading to them to do better”, he posited.
Crown FC will host Ibom Youths FC in the first game (Week 5) of the second stanza at the Soun Stadium in Ogbomoso on Saturday 18th May, 2019 at 4pm.
