Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves played a draw in 2019 NPFL match day two contest.

Charles Upele of Warri Wolves gave the visitors the lead with a scrapy header off a corner kick in the 29th minute.

However, the home team kept pushing hard with more offensive moves which resulted to an equalizer Israel Abia who received, controlled and slotted into the bottom right corner to restore parity nine minutes before the break.

There were more opportunities from both sides which was not utilized and the Ref denied the Homer a clear cut penalty from the spectator’s.

The Akure landlords turned up the heat few minutes from time and thought for a moment they found reprieve when youth team product, Kolade Adeniji was hacked down rashly in the area by Ocheayi, but, surprisingly the stadium waited in vain for the sound of the penalty call whistle.

Kabiru Dogo was happy with his boys and there display :
“Despite the fact that we managed to play we were still better than the Warri Wolves and I leave the penalty that was disqualified to the NRA and NFF LMC to decide on why the center ref disqualified it.”

In the end Wolves got a deserved to see out the game all square by defending deeply and desperately in the closing stages.

Evan Ogini said no team is a push over while speaking at the post match interview:

“Today’s game is no a bad game and no team is a push over. I thank the NRA and LMC for a job well done.

There were other nine games that was played across the centers where two away wins were recorded with 4 draws.
