Nothing can be as good as ending a journey or a course on a good note, this is why I, Ganiyu Bello, popularly known as Alhaji Rondo, use this platform to express my deepest appreciation to everyone, who made my stay in the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan a huge success.
If not for your support, encouragement and love, this would not have been possible, hence, the need for me to thank you all for showing me much love during my stay and even now that I am retiring.
Let me start by expresses my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde (GSM), Omi Tuntun, for bringing a new innovation to the club with the honour given to me and my colleagues through the sent forth programne.
I am excited that I retired happily but leaving in such a honourable way, makes me happier and I want to thank our governor for this historic gesture, which I am proud to be among the first to experience such.
I also appreciate the following people, the deputy governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, other government functionaries, the General Manager, Shooting Stars, Rasheed Balogun, the Director of Administration, 3SC, Mr Rahman Olapade and the entire staff, my Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal, my coaches led by Edith Agoye, my children, the 3SC players, Supporters Club, fans and journalists.
Thank you all for the opportunity given me to serve this great club without regret. I am very proud of you all.
My prayer is that the God Almighty will bless the works of your hands, you will all live long enough to eat the fruits of your labour and you and yours shall not regret being associated with Shooting Stars.
By the grace of God, Shooting Stars will regain their rightful place in Nigerian football and our Stars shall always shine.
I want to assure you all, that even though I have retired officially, I remain a member of the 3SC family and I will always be around to continue to give my support to the team physically and in my prayers.
