Falode Congratulates Heartland Queens’ Management Board

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) board has congratulated the newly inaugurated management board of Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) side, Heartland Queens FC.

The Imo state governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha duly inaugurated the board on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 inside the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chamber in Owerri.

The club’s financiers/owners, Imo state government recently appointed a five-man management board to oversee the proper running of the team.

The management board is headed by Tessy Nwoke, other members are Uzoma Ochomma, Mrs. Henrietta Agbaere, Mrs. Ngozi Ibeatuche and Humphrey Njoku.

NWFL board chairperson, Aisha Falode congratulated the governor too for his tact and carefulness in the selection process of the side’s management board to oversee the running of the top-flight.

“I want to warmly congratulate the newly inaugurated management board of Heartland Queens FC. “My warmest congratulation too goes to the governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, for his due diligence in properly constituting a management board for the women team. We commend and congratulate the governor and the good people of Imo State for this bold initiative.

“I want to fervently pray for the success of the management board in their onerous task to reposition and turn around the fortune of the team.

“I sincerely hope that right atmosphere will be put in place for the team, players and management board to excel in their respective assignments.

“I want to charge specifically the management board to ensure that the team is administered professionally in adherence to the rules and regulations of the league body,” said NWFL supremo.

Heartland Queens finished third on the four-team Group B log in the 2018/19 NWPL season to maintain their status quo in the nation’s top-flight.
