As hostilities for the second round of the Nigeria Professional League get underway today after few weeks break, the Nigeria Referees Associatian, NRA has assured all of good officiating.
Otunba Tade Azeez, the National President of the referees’ body said that match officials who are members of the association have been charged to insist on fair and firm officiating irrespective of circumstances surrounding the games.

While wishing the referees best of luck he enjoined members to be safety conscious and also mindful of Covid 19 preventive measures.
In the opening matches of the second round, a fifa referee of the Niger state council, Abubakar Abdullahi accompanied by Abba Baba of Yobe and Katsina’s Ibrahim Tijani as assistants, supervised by former NRA Vice President, Fatai Yusuf of Ogun Council, shall handle the Rivers vs Dakada in Porthacourt, while a FIFA/ CAF trained Technical Instructor, Felicia Okwugba will be on the stands to observe the performances of the refereeing team led FIFA Joseph Ogabor of Cross River comprising Sani Abdulahi and Winjobi Adedeji of Kano and Lagos councils respectively in the North Central derby, Nassarwa vs Kwara Utd in Lafia.
For Adamawa vs Heartland, a referee from Kano Council, Habib Ghali will rely on the flags of Nanzing Francis and Ikpi Samson to officiate the encounter in Gombe.
