CROWN FC WALLOPS BAYELSA UNITED FEEDERS FC

Three (3) classical goals from Bode Daniel, Adeyemi Adeyeye and Odudu Sunday silenced the old tired looking Bayelsa United Feeders FC in the round of 64 fixtures of the 2019 Edition of the National Challenge/ Federation/AITEO Cup to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The energetic and fully determined Crown Football Club started the game on a very impressive note with well coordinated passes and good build up from behind.

The duo of Muazu Taiwo and Tobi Adeyi kept the midfield intact with long and accurate passes to Isah Seidu whose speed, sharp bends and dribbles from the left flank gave the Restoration Feeders restless moments but Adeyemi Adeyeye’s tireless efforts could not convert the early chances created to goal.

The matured playing Bayelsa United Feeders side sized up with good defending with Gabriel Ikechukwu thwarting the many dangerous moves by Bode Daniel and Adeyemi Adeyeye while Gas Gbansele made magnificent saves that would have resulted in early goals.

Bode Daniel made a perfect run to nod in an accurate well bended free kick by Oginni Olatunbosun in the thirty fifth (35th) minutes to put the Ajilete Warriors on the lead.

Experienced and fantastic save by Adeniyi Adejare, Captain and Crown FC goal tender in the fortieth (40th) denied Emmanuel Junior’s shot that would have resulted into an equalizer.

There was a torrential rainfall coupled with heavy wind but the centre referee continued the game until the official time for half time reached.

The Ajilete Warriors resumed the second stanza in a more resilient high spirit, putting more pressure on the old looking Bayelsa United Feeders side with Oginni Olatunbosun firing bombastically from all angels.

The much pressure on the Restoration Feeders paid off in the seventy ninth (79th) when Adeyemi Adeyeye’s shot from a goal mouth scramble doubled the lead for the Ajilete Warriors.

The third (3rd) and final goal that broke the back of the Restoration Feeders side came in the eighty third (83rd) minute when Sunday Odudu fired in a ballistic shot assisted by Obinna Christopher’s through pass from Emmanuel Amana, Muazu Taiwo and Oginni Olatunbosun’s passes.

Crown FC have qualified for the round of 32 games whose fixtures will be out very soonest.
