Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, suffered a first defeat in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday three.

The game started on a high tempo with both teams showing desire to clinch maximum points.

The Ikon Allah boys put up a superb showing from the blast of the whistle as they look to consolidate on the two previous victories in the league.

Ahmadu Liman had the first clear opportunities in the 3rd and 7th minutes to put Niger Tornadoes in front after he was left unmarked and had only the goalkeeper to beat, but luck ran out on him as he hit the ball in the direction of the goalkeeper who parried for corner kick.

Dominant display in the middle of the park saw Musa Wakili set up Lukman Mohammed, but the former Katsina United man hit the ball wide.

Second half commences with similar intensity as the first with DMD enjoying more of the ball in the early stages.

On 57th minute, ‘out of nothing’ a penalty was awarded for the home team after Musa Wakili was adjudged to have committed a foul on DMD player inside the box, the resultant kick was cleverly converted.

Niger Tornadoes up their game in the dying moment of the encounter in search of the leveller, but to no avail.
